Anthony E. DiMarco, D.O., '83, elected POMA Vice President

Anthony E. DiMarco, D.O., F.A.C.O.F.P., a resident of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, was recently elected vice president of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA), a statewide organization for physicians holding the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. DiMarco is the managing physician at Parkesburg (Pa.) Family Medicine and medical director at LG Health Urgent Care – Parkesburg. Board certified as an independent medical examiner, Dr. DiMarco is also an adjunct faculty member at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM).

Past chairman of POMA’s District 2, Dr. DiMarco is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and serves as a delegate to the POMA, the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society.

A graduate of LaSalle University in Philadelphia, and PCOM, Dr. DiMarco completed an internship and family practice residency at Metropolitan Hospital, Springfield (Pa.) Division.

Dr. DiMarco was installed as vice president during POMA’s 106th Annual Clinical Assembly, held April 30 - May 3, 2014, at the Valley Forge Hotels and Convention Complex in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The Assembly attracted over 1,500 physicians, residents, interns and medical students, plus family members.

Headquartered in Harrisburg, POMA is the official voice for over 7,000 osteopathic physicians in Pennsylvania.
